Group Social Classes

These classes are very informal and are just fun.  Ask any and all questions and jump in.  We will eat our meal together at the end! Great to get your toes wet so to speak or just for a fun night!  Great food, great company, great experience.

  • Sunday February 21 - MOVED TO APRIL 3
    • 10 am-12 pm
    • Omelets and Mimosas. The making of an omelet has long been a symbol of culinary skill.  Join us to test your own skills.  Oh, and for the mimosas too.
  • Friday February 26
    • 7 pm-10 pm
    • CHILI!!! Cornbread and all the fixin's, including honey butter.
    • Bring your own beverage

March 2016

  • Friday March 4
    • 7 pm- 10 pm
    • Guacamole and Salsa Bar!  Come hungry.  We will make several different kinds of salsas and delicious guacamole.  Margaritas MIGHT be involved. 
    • Bring your favorite tequila

    • 7 pm- 10 pm
    • Pizza dough.  You can learn how really easy it is to make your own pizza dough, and therefore pizza, calzone, garlic bread, and pizza bites
    • Cheap red wine will be served - chianti perhaps?

April 2016

    • Quiche me, you fool! Real mean don't eat quiche? NONSENSE!  Mini quiche, picnic quiche, fancy quiche, manly quiche.  Come and revel in the quiches.  We are going to be quiche-ing like maniacs.
    • Bring what makes you happy.  This is a happy class.

Group Classes Series 1

This series of classes are for anyone.  Yes, anyone.  Even if you have never stepped into a kitchen before.  You will have your own materials and set up and it is DEFINITELY hands on. :)  Good for beginner to intermediate cooks, or even more advanced if you want to review the basics.

    • Pork Tenderloin with pomegranate glaze, couscous, seasonal green
    • 2 pm- 3:30 pm

March 2016

  • Sunday March 6
    • Braising
    • Mustard braised Chicken.  If you come to one class, this is the one to come to because this is so delicious (and you are going to want to know how to make it). 
  • Sunday March 20
    • Baking, custards
    • Creme Brulee and Fruit Coulis.  This is so easy you won't believe that you don't make it for your Tuesday night dessert. 
  • March TBD
    • White Bean and Escarole Soup.   Made with ham.  And White beans.  And Escarole.  But that isn't all, you still have to come to class.

April 2016

  • April TBD
    • Beurre blanc and beurre rouge class
    • Today we will learn how to make beurre blanc and beurre rouge which are both butter sauces.  One is made with white wine and one with red wine.  This is a super easy and delicious sauce that you can make at home and impress people.  Especially if you say them in french.  Just sayin'.
